Are you and your students tired of the same old review games? Why not add a new element? All you need to do is purchase some easy children’s jigsaw puzzles. They can be all the same or different, it’s up to you. Make sure they’re not more than 20-50 pieces.
Play your favorite review game as usual. Then add the jigsaw puzzle element.
1.Breaking a tie—Each team has its own jigsaw puzzle. One player from each team has one minute to correctly place as many jigsaw pieces as possible. Bonus points can be awarded for the number of jigsaw pieces placed correctly. Adjust the time limit as you see fit.
2.After each round of your favorite review game, one player from each team has one minute to correctly place as many jigsaw pieces as possible. Bonus points can be awarded to EACH TEAM. This process is repeated after each round. You may decide that 2 players from each team can be allowed to place the puzzle
pieces. It’s up to you.
3.One player from each team can compete with YOU to place as many puzzle pieces as they can! If they beat you, bonus points are added for each team. If YOU beat them, then points can be SUBTRACTED from each team!
